Introduction of complementary foods
Introducing solid foods is an important step for your baby and your family. With my support as a midwife, we can make this transition safe and stress-free together.

General information on introducing complementary foods
Introducing solid foods is an exciting and important step in your baby's development. After about six months, breast milk or infant formula alone is no longer sufficient to meet your child's increasing nutritional needs. This transition should be made carefully and gradually to allow your baby's digestive system to get used to the new diet.
When should you start introducing solid foods?
- From around the 6th monthSigns of readiness for solid food: interest in parents’ food, chewing movements, sitting upright with support
